At least 30 people were arrested Wednesday afternoon after federal investigators searched a business in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, according to Immigration Customs Enforcement.
The operation happened at Buckeye Fire Equipment Company, a fire protection equipment supplier on Kings Road.
The search warrants stemmed from a suspected fraudulent document used to employ people who were not authorized to work in the United States, ICE said.
ICE has not said what charges are being brought against those arrested, but said questioning is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
The company has not yet released a statement on Wednesday's operation.
Officers with the Kings Mountain Police Department assisted in the execution of the warrants. Local ICE protesters were also seen nearby during the arrests.
This is an ongoing investigation.
