Switzerland's team bus crashed into the back of a police car while the team travelled to their World Cup clash against Brazil on Monday evening. Thankfully, the vehicle was travelling at a very low speed so no one was hurt but it was not ideal preparation for the European nation for the match.
Switzerland go into the match against Brazil in a strong position in Group G after winning their opening game against Cameroon. They currently sit second in the group and require just two points from their final two games to advance to the round of 16.
However, they face a tough task against tournament favourites Brazil today with a win enough for the Selecao to secure their place in the knockout stages with a game to spare. The Swiss preparations for the game took a hit when their team bus drove into the back of a police car on the way to Stadium 974 for the match.
The bus was travelling at a very low speed and it appears very unlikely that anyone was hurt in the incident. There are no indications that the crash will effect the kick-off time with the team now at the ground.

The Swiss will face a Brazil side who have been beset by injuries with Neymar and Danilo ruled out of the match with ankle problems. There have been suggestions that the talismanic No 10 could miss the rest of the tournament with the issue that he has suffered. The Selecao have made two changes from the 2-0 win over Serbia with Manchester United star Fred and Real Madrid defender Eder Miltao replacing the injured duo.
In contrast, Switzerland have a clean bill of health but have made one change from the victory over Cameroon. Former Liverpool star Xherdan Shaqiri has dropped out of the starting lineup to be replaced by youngster Fabian Rieder.
Ahead of the match Swiss head coach Murat Yakin was gushing in his praise for his opponents suggesting they had encouraged him to take up football.

"Personally, I have been looking forward to this clash since the draw came out," the 48-year-old, who won 49 caps for Switzerland during his playing career, said. "Since my childhood, I spoke at length about Brazil -- maybe that's why I became a footballer.
"Of course, we are really looking forward to it. It's great to play against big names and to show what we have."
It remains to be seen if the crash on the way to the stadium will have any effect on their performance but the Europeans will still feel hopeful of reaching the next round regardless of the result in the match today.
