According to police, break-ins took place in Grevenmacher, Niederanven, Mamer and Senningen on Sunday.

A burglar was caught red-handed after breaking into a caravan on Route du Vin in Grevenmacher at 8pm on Sunday. Neighbours were able to detain the man until police arrived. He was later presented to an examining magistrate and sent to the Uerschterhaff Correctional Centre (CPU).

Some hours earlier, another burglary took place at around 5.30pm, again in Grevenmacher. An intruder broke into a residence on "Kuschegässel", stealing several pairs of shoes from a cupboard in the entryway. The thief then fled unnoticed.

Shortly before 9pm, there was a break-in at a house on Cité Gromscheed in Niederanven, where a number of valuables were taken, including bottles of wine. The intruders gained access through a window and later fled via the back garden.

In Mamer, thieves targeted a residence on Route d'Arlon between 12.45pm and 3.30pm, gaining access to a flat on the third floor. A number of valuables were stolen during the incident.

Finally, a fifth break-in took place on Rue du Château in Senningen between 5.50pm and 10.30pm. The owners filed a complaint with police.
