President Dina Boluarte on Monday expressed her condolences to the families of the public transport drivers murdered in recent days, identified as Paul Lopez, from the Aquarius company, and Loymer Noe Benigno, from the Etuchisa company.

"To their families and friends, I express my commitment to capturing the murderers and putting an end to these extortionist gangs, who will receive exemplary punishment and end their days in Challapalca (Prison)," Mrs. Boluarte said while leading a new session of the War Room.

The top official noted that the Peruvian National Police have been ordered to capture the criminal gangs that spread terror among the population as swiftly as possible.

Similarly, the Head of State emphasized that the police forces will use their service weapons in defense and safeguarding of citizen security, thanks to the legal support they now rely on, referring to a recently enacted regulation.

Likewise, the President stressed that her administration will impose order in defense of society, families, and individuals.

Deportation of foreigners

Moreover, the President noted that immigration control is a key pillar in the fight against insecurity, given the need to reverse "bad decisions made by previous governments that irresponsibly opened the country's doors to foreign criminals."

"From this government, we are fighting with all the strength of the State to deport them all; there will be no foreign offenders left in the country causing fear. We will take a firm stance, and the decision has been made," Mrs. Boluarte added.

She indicated that the actions reported daily in the War Room are important steps towards victory against crime, such as the capture of the criminal known as "Marianito," the alleged murderer of singer Paul Flores, and the dismantling of the dangerous gang "Los Taytas de Carabayllo."

The Head of State also said that there are "selfish sectors" that fuel fear instead of joining forces in the fight against insecurity, seeking political gains.

"We will not allow the ideological narrative of terror to replace the truth," she concluded.
