Shameful texts between Met Police officers reveal plans to lie in court and alleged 'abuse of process' by a senior officer in the force. PC Niall Bowler was sacked over 'misogynistic and ableist' remarks made to other serving officers, including comments like 'f**king spaz', 'f**king r****d', 'ugly mental hags', 'mental b**ch', and 'big mouth frog c**t'.
In WhatsApp messages downloaded during a separate misconduct matter, the constable joked about having sex with his little brother, writing: '5 fingers deep in [REDACTED]. What? Did you want him unspoilt?' He then received the message 'I wanted to arse rape him dry'; and said of a colleague 'Hopefully he just stops eating altogether and dies'.
PC Bowler also sent a Met Police press release about police officers being awarded a seven per cent pay increase, alongside the message 'Even more free money. For being a bunch of nonces and murderers'.

PC Bowler alluded to potential malpractice by officers, remarking that a senior officer had told colleagues to keep a suspect's phone and download it on questionable legal grounds. He then referenced other officers who were 'happy to follow' a senior officer who allegedly 'lies on remand applications' and 'goes rogue to get results'.
"Everyone was talking about some CID [criminal investigation department] job last week where they had a PWITS [possession with intent to supply], charged with possession so NFA’d [no further action'ed] the supply – my skipper said to keep the phone and download it and we were all saying its probably an abuse of process to NFA someone but keep their phone and download it. ‘Quite happy to do that’… follow orders from a woman who lies on remand applications and goes rogue to get results? Good job [REDACTED], you’re using the same argument as the Nazis. [REDACTED] the Nazi."
PC said he chose not to arrest a suspect so he could 'bugger off before midday'
PC Bowler also made comments about court cases he was involved with. In one message, he said: "We’ll just have to talk sh** in the box. Say they’re innocent. Get it thrown out." In another message, he spoke about choosing not to arrest a suspect - who he referred to as 'some mental b**ch' - so that he could 'bugger off before midday'.
While England was playing in the Qatar World Cup, PC Bowler called then-captain Harry Kane a 'big mouth frog c**t' and joked about him dying in a plane crash like Emiliano Sala (whose private jet crashed into the English Channel in 2019) while also calling then-England boss Gareth Southgate a 'dumb m**g c**t' for picking him.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine said he found the language used was 'consciously discriminatory' over a 'considerable period of time showing a concerning pattern'. Concluding there was a high level of harm, DAC Valentine added: "The threats of violence and the joking regarding serious sexual violence are particularly concerning."
Dismissing PC Bowler without notice, he said: "It is entirely unacceptable for police officers to use discriminatory language. Doing so undermines public trust and confidence in policing as well as our reputation. The public could have no confidence in PC Bowler to act with due respect to protect them, particularly those with protected characteristics."
