Vietnam Airlines delivers nearly 30 tonnes of relief supplies to Myanmar

The 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh has been celebrated with ceremonies held by the Vietnamese embassies in Mozambique and Angola.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phung Thanh Vinh said that carrying a noble international duty, many Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts heroically joined Lao people in their struggle for national liberation and independence. Many of them sacrificed their lives in the country, including more than 12,000 soldiers laying down in the three provinces of Xaysomboun, Vientiane, and Xiangkhouang.

The programme has enabled the Vietnamese students in Laos to practise speaking their mother tongue and for teachers in the two countries to exchange pedagogical experience.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Duong Hai Hung underlined that the book donation was a symbolic gesture strengthening the spiritual bridge between the two peoples through their shared respect for President Ho Chi Minh.

Ambassador Nguyen Manh Cuong highlighted the enormous values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in the cause of national construction, safeguarding, and development, especially in foreign affairs, affirming that the leader's thought on diplomacy remains relevant today and becomes a priceless asset of the Vietnamese people.

Party General Secretary and State President To Lam emphasised: “People are placed at the centre as the main subject in order to realise visions. People are considered the centre, the objective, and the driving force of all policies and actions at all levels.”

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia on May 19 held a solemn ceremony to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890- 2025).

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnamese delegation won two second prizes, one third prize, three fourth prizes, and four special awards granted by sponsors.
