Fort Smith police find, arrest man accused of killing two outside a club
ABNER. >> ALLISON BRENDAN, WE’RE STANDING OUTSIDE HERE IN THE AREA WHERE OFFICERS HAD ARRESTED THAT SUSPECT EARLIER TODAY. POLICE RESPONDED TO A SHOOTING OUTSIDE THE FOXFIRE CLUB JUST BEFORE 8 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY. POLICE SAY TWO PEOPLE WERE FOUND SHOT AND LATER DIED AT THE HOSPITAL. >> THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF THE INVESTIGATION, WHICH TOOK THE REST OF THE NIGHT ON INTO THE MORNING, THEY WERE ABLE TO DEVELOP A. NEFAZ RUACH. 45 YEAR OLD MALE FROM SPIRO, OKLAHOMA, AS THE SHOOTER. >> TODAY, POLICE SAY SEVERAL AGENCIES RESPONDED TO THE 1200 BLOCK OF NORTH 38TH STREET. POLICE SAY THE MURDER SUSPECT, NEFESH RUACH, WAS FOUND HIDING IN A RESIDENCE IN THIS AREA. AS POLICE ENTERED THE HOME, THEY SAY RUACH ATTEMPTED TO RUN AWAY BUT WAS QUICKLY CAPTURED. THE OWNER OF THE FOXFIRE CLUB TELLS 40/29 NEWS THE SHOOTING DIDN’T HAPPEN INSIDE HIS BUSINESS. >> I WANT TO CLARIFY THAT THE ALTERCATION DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE BAR. THE ALTERCATION HAPPENED OUTSIDE THE BACK AND THE FRONT. >> HE SAYS THE SUSPECT WAS BANNED FROM THE CLUB, BUT A NEW BARTENDER HADN’T RECOGNIZED HIM. >> AFTER HE DID WHAT HE DID IN THE BACK, HE COME RUNNING TO THE FRONT HERE AND COME OUT HERE AND DID WHAT HE DID IN THE FRONT. >> PEOPLE IN THE AREA ARE STILL TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF IT ALL. ONE NEIGHBOR SAYS HE KNEW ONE OF THE VICTIMS. >> I WAS COMING OUT OF MY PLACE DOWN THERE, AND I WAS GOING TO COME DOWN HERE AND DRINK A BEER LIKE I DO EVERY EVENING. I COME AROUND THE CORNER AND THERE’S 13,000 COP CARS AND FIRE TRUCKS AND AMBULANCE AND A HELICOPTER FLYING OVER, AND I SAID, NOPE, THIS IS NOT A GOOD TIME TO GO. TODD JUUL IS AN OLD FRIEND OF MINE FROM MANY, MANY YEARS AGO. WHEN HE STARTED DRINKING, HE GOT A LITTLE STUPID. BEEN DOWN THAT ROAD WITH HIM LONG TIME AGO, BUT HE WAS A GOOD MAN. >> POLICE SAY RUACH IS CURRENTLY BEING. AND TONIGHT POLICE SAY RUACH IS CURRENTLY BEING HELD AT THE SEBASTIAN COUNTY DETENTION CENTER, CURRENTLY WITHOUT BOND.

Police found a murder suspect in a Fort Smith home and arrested him Thursday afternoon, according to to a news release.Naphesh Ruach, 45, of Spiro, Oklahoma, is accused of killing two people at a club on Wednesday night.At about 3 p.m. Thursday, law enforcement went into a home on the 1200 block of North 38th Street where they believed Ruach was. When they went inside, Ruach ran off but was quickly caught, according to the release.Ruach's victims were Brian Jones, 42, and Todd Jewell, 51.Police believe Rauch shot Jones and Jewell at the Foxefire Club on 10th Street at about 7:30 p.m. WednesdayWhen first responders got to the club, they sent the two to the hospital. They died there.

Police found a murder suspect in a Fort Smith home and arrested him Thursday afternoon, according to to a news release.
