An 84-year-old Marshalltown man is in the hospital after he was hit by a car while crossing the street in a wheelchair.The Marshalltown Police Department says the incident happened Wednesday morning in the crosswalk at North 13th and Summit streets. The man was taken to a Des Moines hospital for treatment and the driver involved in the crash was cited for failure to yield.A spokesperson for the Iowa Veterans Home says the man is one of their residents.
