Strong police presence at Hattiesburg Texaco on West 7th Street
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - A strong police presence has been drawn to the Hattiesburg Texaco on West Seventh Street.
Located just off the U.S. 49 western frontage road across Seventh Street from University of Southern Mississippi property, the corner combination gas station/convenience store was taped off as an apparent crime scene.
According to witnesses, Hattiesburg Police Department officers and investigators were on scene, including HPD’s Crime Scene Unit.
A witness said photos were being taken, with evidence markers in place. Bullet shell casings could be seen clearly on the ground,
WDAM 7 reached out to HPD for information Thursday afternoon, but have not heard back.
