The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene of a blaze in Newry.

The fire is at industrial premises on the Cloghanramer Road. At around 2am on Friday, April 11, almost 60 personnel were at the incident.

An update from the Fire Service said: "NIFRS operations have been scaled back and two fire appliances, supported by a high volume pump, will remain at the scene.

"Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed."

A PSNI statement said: "The Cloghanramer Road in Newry is currently closed to traffic while emergency services deal with a fire in the area. Diversions are in place.

"Local residents are advised to keep windows closed at this time."
