HIS BODY WAS FOUND TWO DAYS LATER. KANSAS STATE TROOPERS SAY A TRAFFIC STOP FOR SPEEDING LED THEM TO A MISSING OMAHA MAN WITH ALZHEIMER’S. THE KANSAS HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS A TROOPER TRIED TO PULL OVER THE MAN IN EASTERN JEWELL COUNTY TODAY. THE TROOPER SAYS THE ELDERLY DRIVER CROSSED THE CENTER LINE AND INITIALLY DID NOT STOP. WHEN HE DID, THE TROOPER SAYS THE DRIVER APPEARED CONFUSED AND WAS TRYING TO MAKE HIS WAY BACK TO OMAHA. THE DRIVER WAS LISTED AS A MISSING PERSON AFTER HIS WIFE HAD NOT SEEN HIM SINCE THE DAY BEFORE. THEY WERE ABLE TO ARRANGE FOR HIS SAFE RETURN THANKS TO HELP FROM OMAHA POLICE. Kansas State Troopers said a traffic stop for speeding led them to a missing Omaha man with Alzheimer's.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said a trooper tried to pull over the man in eastern Jewell County on Wednesday.
