JACKSON, New Hampshire (WGME) -- Police say a man was killed in a skiing accident at Black Mountain Ski Area in Jackson, New Hampshire, over the weekend.
Jackson police say they responded to a skiing accident at Black Mountain around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday. It was reported that a skier had gone off the Upper Maple Slalom trail near the summit and was seriously injured.
No one saw the accident happen, but it was reported by a passing skier.
Police say ski patrol found the unresponsive man with significant injuries. Life saving measures were undertaken as the patient was evacuated to the base area.
EMS also worked on him, but they were unsuccessful, and the patient was declared dead.
The skier was identified as 39-year-old Eric Page of Bartlett, New Hampshire.
Police say the incident remains under investigation
