Authorities report shots being fired at vehicle, resulting in accident
BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - A “road rage” incident on an Iowa highway led to the arrest of a 23-year-old man in Bellevue.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says the incident took place early Tuesday with the vehicles traveling westbound on Highway 44 near Harlan, Iowa.
SCSO deputies say they responded to the scene and found a vehicle in a ditch. The victim was taken to the hospital, according to a report.
During an investigation, authorities found that a white pick-up fired shots at the vehicle several times and left the area.
After a warrant was attained, 23-year-old Jacob Snyder was found in Bellevue and arrested for attempted murder in connection to the incident.

Snyder is now in custody of the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office and awaiting extradition, the report states.
Aiding SCSO in the investigation was the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Iowa State Patrol, the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office, the Bellevue Police Department, and the Omaha Police Department.
