Police ask for witnesses to come forward following Cedar Rapids motorcycle crash

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a crash on Wednesday that sent one person to the hospital.
Police said it happened in the 1800 block of Edgewood Road NW, near O Avenue, at around 2:45 p.m.
First responders arrived to find a motorcyclist with they said appeared to be serious injuries. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Investigators are asking that anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the police department to provide information.
Officials have not released the name of the victim that was injured in the crash.
