RINGSTED, Iowa (KTIV) - Two men were arrested after a burglary of a home in Emmet County, Iowa.

On Wednesday, April 23, at 3:40 p.m., a 911 call was received by the Emmet County Communication Center, reporting a burglary at 2545 490th Avenue in Ringsted, Iowa.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says the landowner reported that two men, wearing masks were on his property. He reportedly said that when the men saw the owner, they took off farther into the property.

Once deputies arrived on the scene, the landowner told them that the two suspects never left the property, according to the sheriff’s office. A perimeter was then set up around the entire property, and additional help was called.

Deputies say while waiting for additional help, multiple attempts at communicating with the two suspects were made, however, these attempts were unsuccessful. At the same time, deputies also say they had drones flying in the area in an attempt to locate the two men.

The Multiple Agency Response Team (MART) was reportedly called to help, along with the help of a police K-9 team. The police K-9 team located the two men in a large pile of appliances, according to Emmet County deputies.

The sheriff’s office says both men were taken into custody at 7:48 p.m. The men have been identified as Jory Embacher and Brenson Juni, both from New Ulm, Minnesota.
