Two arrested in robbery after alleged transit bus altercation in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a robbery Saturday near Ellice avenue and Valour road.

Officers determined that a 54-year-old male victim had been involved in a verbal altercation with an adult man and an adult woman suspect while riding a Winnipeg Transit bus.

After all three left the bus, the victim was assaulted and had personal property stolen by the suspects.  He sustained injuries but opted against medical attention.

The K9 unit assisted in tracking the suspects to the 1000 block of spruce street just two blocks over, where they were arrested and taken into custody. The stolen property was also recovered during the arrest.

38-year-old Kenneth Roy Iacquette of Winnipeg has been charged with robbery and a 41-year-old woman from Winnipeg is also facing robbery charges but has been released on an undertaking as mandated by the criminal code.
