Crash, Whittlesay Lane
On March 24 a resident reported a car crashed into the tree in front of her house. The driver, a 42-year-old Wadsworth man, told officers he had swerved to avoid a deer when he struck the tree.

There were no injuries and the driver was cited for failure to control. He was taken to the police station to wait for a ride.
Suspicious, Hilliard Road
On March 27 a postal carrier requested a welfare check on a resident after he noticed mail had not been collected for several weeks. Officers found a phone number for a family friend of the resident who advised them he had traveled to Vietnam to get married and would return soon.
Dog attack, Wooster Road
On March 31 a caller reported a 46-year-old woman had been attacked by a German Shepherd and was bleeding from her hands and knees.
A 65-year-old Richmond Heights woman was walking her two dogs when one got off its leash and ran up to the German Shepherd, who was on a leash being walked by its owner. The German Shepherd grabbed the smaller dog in its mouth, and the smaller dog’s owner was injured as she tried to grab it.
Medics treated the injured woman and both parties were advised to quarantine their dogs for the length of the investigation.
Assault, Center Ridge Road
On April 1 a Marc’s employee reported being assaulted in the parking lot by a man with no shoes and a white shirt.
When officers arrived, they saw the man throwing a bundle of chopped wood at the employee.
The 41-year-old Cleveland man was arrested for assault and was evaluated by medics for some cuts on his elbows. He admitted to officers he had been using drugs earlier that evening. The employee was also evaluated by medics, but was not transported to the hospital.
