12-year-old runaway located safe

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBMA) — UPDATE: Police say he has been found safe.

Birmingham Police Department's Special Victims Detectives are urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating a critical runaway juvenile.

Ryan Stanley Jr., a 12-year-old Black male, was last seen on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m. He was spotted leaving the 3500 block of 45th Street Southwest, Birmingham, Alabama, walking in an unknown direction. At the time, he was wearing no shirt, no shoes, and red pajama pants.

Authorities have classified Ryan as a critical runaway due to his age.
