M25 closure: Huge crash sparks chaos on UK’s busiest motorway during rush hour with queues snarling back for 7 miles

A MOTORBIKE crash on the M25 has sparked seven miles of bumper-to-bumper traffic and nightmare delays.

Emergency services responded to reports of the smash at around 8am on the anticlockwise carriageway between J11 Ottershaw and J10 Wisley, in Surrey.

Commuters are now stuck in seven miles of traffic chaos and can expect delays of up to an hour.

National Highways confirmed one lane out of four remains shut down.

Police and the ambulance service are still at the scene.

Traffic analyst Inrix said congestion is reaching junction J13 Staines and back past the M3.

A stretch of the motorway has also been closed near junction 10.

There is also slow moving traffic clockwise towards J9 Leatherhead, Inrix said.

A spokesperson from the traffic monitoring site said: "M25 anticlockwise blocked, long delays due to accident, a motorbike involved from J11 A320 St Peters Way (Chertsey) to J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange). Congestion to J13 Staines, back past the M3."

They added: "Severe delays and one lane closed due to recovery work and accident, a motorbike involved on M25 anticlockwise before J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange).

"Congestion to J13 Staines, back past the M3, Onlookers opposite back towards J9 Leatherhead."
