Costa Coffee swarmed by police as stabbing outside shuts down major road
Metropolitan Police officers have cordoned off a major stretch of road after reports of a stabbing outside a Costa Coffee in Seven Sisters in the early hours of Monday morning
A major road in Seven Sisters, London, has been sealed off by the Met Police following a stabbing incident outside a Costa Coffee shop in the early hours of this morning. The emergency services descended on West Green Road after receiving reports of a violent attack near the coffee joint at about 12.53am.
In under 10 minutes, the area was thrown into chaos as the road was "partially blocked" due to the swift arrival of police and paramedics, particularly around the Philip Lane junction.
The disruption wreaked havoc for those on the road and users of public transport, with the N41 Night Bus among those affected, having to reroute its journey. UKNIP has indicated that the crime scene is still active as the Met continues to probe the stabbing.
As of now, the police have kept mum on any details regarding the victims or potential arrests linked to the event, reports the Mirror.
The authorities are appealing to anyone with information on the Costa Coffee incident on West Green Road to come forward and dial 101.
While the investigation is ongoing and the cordon stands, TfL has confirmed detours for the N41 bus service.
Buses heading towards Archway will now travel via Broad Lane, High Road, Philip Lane, Spur Road, and then rejoin West Green Road, while those en route to Tottenham Hale will be diverted through Philip Lane, Town Hall Road, High Road, and Broad Lane.
Traffic sensors along the route indicated: "A504 West Green Road in both directions partially blocked due to police incident from A105 Green Lanes (Ducketts Common, Harringay) to A10 High Road (Tottenham)."
