“This was an illegal, underground club…,” said Jonathan Pullin, special agent in charge of the Rocky Mountain Division of the DEA. The Rocky Mountain Division posted video of the raid on Sunday, showing patrons rushing out of the club, some appearing to be ready to escape, only to have law enforcement intercept them.
Assisting the DEA during the raid were agents from the FBI, ICE, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), the IRS, U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division, U.S. Postal Police, and local law enforcement. According to Pullin, DEA Special Agent in Charge, the investigation was the result of a monthslong investigation by DEA, which included undercover work and surveillance. During the investigation, agents noticed members of Tren de Aragua, MS-13 and Hell’s Angels all attending the club.
“Unfortunately, it appears that there were over a dozen active members of the military also present at the nightclub during Sunday’s raid. This is why the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division took part in the investigation. The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division will decide the next steps for those military members”, fairus reported.
Pullen said Colorado Springs “was waking up to a safer community” after Sunday’s raid. He added that other pending operations in Colorado Springs may yield more arrests.
