The Presidency of the Republic highlighted the commitment of policewomen to the country and their courage in protecting the safety of citizens, as Policewomen's Day is celebrated today.

"On Policewomen's Day, the Government expresses its deepest appreciation to all those brave women who, with love for their country and unwavering courage, risk their lives every day to protect the safety of our citizens," reads a message on social media.

It also highlights that their dedication, firmness in the face of danger, and their commitment to the country are examples of honor and a vocation for service.

"In every step they take and in every action they undertake, they do so with a strength born from the noblest commitment: that of protecting life," it emphasizes.

Today, May 2, is the Women in Police Forces Day, a momentous date to recognize and value the fundamental role they play in the police force.



On this occasion, the Ministry of the Interior also paid tribute to all the women who, with courage and a dedication to service, wear the National Police uniform.

"They protect citizens and build a safer Peru," the Ministry emphasized on social media.
