Makaha firearm incident: Police seek suspect after robbery scare

MAKAHA, Hawaii (Island News) – The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) is on the lookout for a suspect following an incident involving a firearm in the Makaha area on Tuesday night at approximately 7:35 p.m.

According to police highlights, an unknown man brandished a handgun and demanded a group of girls in their 20s to drop their belongings.

After the three girls complied, the man reportedly told them he was joking and that they could pick up their things.

The unknown man then left the scene on his moped, empty handed.

Police officials classified the offense as Robbery 1.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made at this time.
