BOSTON, Mass. — The Knicks’ gritty, physical 20-point comeback against the Celtics on Wednesday night was certainly dramatic, but it paled in comparison to the chaos outside TD Garden afterwards, where a frenzied brawl broke out between New York and Boston fans following the stunning result.

Several videos posted to social media sites show multiple physical altercations between opposing fans, requiring several police officers to interject and break them up.
Tensions between Knicks and Celtics fans began brewing even before leaving TD Garden, as a handful of Knicks fans lingered inside the venue, chanting raucously after the final buzzer while security officials urgently tried to clear them out.
The scraps outside the arena left several fans in rough shape, as one individual wearing a Knicks jersey was left with a bloodied face.
The number of arrests following the outcome of the fights has not been made public, nor have Boston city officials commented on the altercations.
With the Knicks officially up 2-0 and returning to Madison Square Garden following back-to-back stunners in Boston, these fights should only add fuel to the fire as the Knicks will look to get back to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in a quarter of a century.
