Liver transplant performed on patient with rare blood group at city hospital A police constable who demanded sexual favours from a woman complainant was arrested by the All Women Police, Avadi and suspended from service.
A recently married woman from Senneerkuppam lodged a complaint with Avadi Police Station last month that her husband’s new bike was stolen. Hercomplaint was investigated by police personnel from the crime wing of the station, including constable Haridoss. The team traced the vehicle and returned it to her husband.
Later, Haridoss called the woman over phone and invited her over to a hotel, police sources said. She informed her relatives, who went with her to the facility. They allegedly video-recorded the constable’s conversation with her and caught him red-handed. The All Women Police arrested Haridoss on charges of criminal intimidation, demanding sexual favours and sexual harassment.
