One person was injured in a shooting in the Indianola Hills neighborhood on Thursday evening, Des Moines police say.The shooting was reported around 7:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of SE 3rd Street. When first responders arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers used a tourniquet to stem the bleeding and medics transported the victim to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Police say the suspect arrived at the scene in a stolen vehicle and abandoned it at the scene.The incident remains under investigation. Police say there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the neighborhood.This is a developing story.
