After social media users questioned whether a motorist in a white vehicle with flashing blue police-style lights was an undercover officer, police pulled over the driver and made an arrest.

Chris Tedtaotao Jr. was arrested in connection with reckless driving, confiscated firearm, confiscated contraband, impersonating a public officer and having a stolen firearm, according to a news release from the Guam Police Department.

Police said a photo and message were circulating on social media “showing a white SUV with no police markings, along with a message, questioning if the SUV was an undercover police vehicle,” police said. “The driver of the SUV would turn on blue lights as if to pull over other vehicles but then would refrain from actually pulling them over.”

Police determined the vehicle was not part of any official fleet, and at 3:09 p.m. Thursday, they found the car in Ordot.

Officers followed the vehicle and turned on their real emergency blue lights, but the driver continued at a high rate of speed, running all red lights along the way and nearly hitting a pedestrian who was crossing Route 10, police said.

The SUV continued north on Route 10 and into Barrigada, slowing as it approached the tri-intersection. The driver slowed down and turned onto a gravel road shoulder area by the Route 16 intersection, and police removed the driver, identified as Tedtaotao.

While searching the vehicle, police found a firearm, crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The gun was later found to have been reported stolen, police said.

Tedtaotao was booked, processed, and confined to the Department of Corrections. The case has been closed and forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office.

Impersonating a police officer and possesion of a firearm, crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia should get him.a very long prison sentence. But, it is Guam so he will be back at it soon.

This young man needs some mental help!

Only on Guam

Can't tell anymore who actually is a police officer anymore...I've seen overweight people either operating or getting out of actual police cars here in Guam.

so many drug problems on Guam, but no one cares, so sad.
