The driver involved in the incident is cooperating, according to police
Authorities say a vehicle struck a teenager who was walking to school Friday morning in Moore.

The incident happened near Northwest Fifth Street and Dallas Avenue, which is across the street from Southgate Elementary School.
Police said the teenager, whose exact age has not been released, had a minor injury to the head and is going to be OK. They added that he was alert and talking to officers.

The driver involved in the incident is cooperating. Police are working to determine what happened.
"Schools have only a handful of days left, we ask that drivers remain vigilant of student walkers in and around school zones," Moore Police Department officials said in a social media post. "Also students, please do the same on your way to school by being careful and wary of drivers passing in and around crosswalks."
