      The Overland Park Police Department is investigating after a crash Thursday night turned deadly. Preliminary investigation determined that one vehicle was traveling east on West 151st Street and another vehicle was making a U-turn at England Street. The first vehicle struck the second vehicle as it was making the U-turn. A 29-year-old was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. He was identified by police as Joshua Haines of Overland Park. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Overland Park Traffic Unit at 913-327-6731.

      Police responded to the area of West 151st Street at England Street around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

      Preliminary investigation determined that one vehicle was traveling east on West 151st Street and another vehicle was making a U-turn at England Street.

      The first vehicle struck the second vehicle as it was making the U-turn.

      A 29-year-old was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

      He was identified by police as Joshua Haines of Overland Park.

      The investigation is ongoing.
