Riley County first responders to participate in active violence training
MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The Riley County Police Department, Manhattan Fire Department, Riley County EMS, and other first responder partners will be participating in the joint active violence training exercises taking place next week.
According to a press release from USD 383, the training focuses on streamlining interagency cooperation during an emergency event and takes place at a different location each year to enhance emergency responsiveness.
This year’s training will take place at Bishop Stadium (3308 Robinson Drive) on May 27, 28, and 29.
Bishop Stadium will be closed for public use from 12:01 a.m. on May 27 through 11:59 p.m. on May 29.
Signs designating the area as a temporary training site will be placed around Bishop Stadium to remind the community that there is no danger to the public and that the stadium is closed.
