We are so in sync, Robyn.

I was explaining yesterday that the problem with all this was JPs constant redefinitions - acts of redefining so extreme that they rendered the "bold" propositions he asserted and was supposed to defend not merely unappetizingly processed sausage, but into morsels lacking all savour and substance to the point that digesting his statements is a meaningless, unproductive act that wouldn't produce shit.

"Worship" being redefined to "prioritize or prioritize and sacrifice for" is a perfect example.Saying that atheists engage in worship is a provocative statement that, if proved, might be cause for introspection. But if "worship" is merely prioritizing and sacrificing for, then going to the steakhouse instead of the movie theatre is "worshipping" rib eye cuts, since one prioritized meat and directly sacrificed dollars (indirectly sacrificing one's time and labor) for the meal. Yet a deeply religious person singing hymns to one god or another - one they are convinced exists and listens to their songs - is engaged in no worship whatsoever, as singing doesn't sacrifice anything.

All of the propositions asserted suffer from flaws as great (though not always so easy to make clear). While he truly has a dizzying intellect, simply stepping off his definitional merry-go-round allows one the perspective to realize that despite his fancy language, he and his audience are going nowhere.

I went to Coney Island today. I took lots of pictures. Rode the Cyclone and ate at Nathan's. It was a fucking awesome day.
