President Donald Trump has a compulsion for race-baiting lies, designed to whip up his right-wing extremist base. His false claim of “white genocide” in the meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was the latest example of Trump’s extremism.

President Cyril Ramaphosa visited the United States of America in the wake of the misinformation spread that ‘white genocide’ was taking place in South Africa. Several of these alleged refugees from this purported genocide were welcomed and given a fast track to get US citizenship and immediate financial benefits.

This is in sharp contrast to the millions of Haitians, Cubans, Venezuelans, Mexicans, and other people of colour who America under Trump is now deporting.

Trump’s White South African rantings must be seen in the wide context of his extremist agenda. This includes getting rid of “birthright’ citizenship for any child born in America and so becomes an America citizen.

This racist immigration agenda is clear. President Trump has long expressed preference to have the “whitening of America.” In his worldview, immigrants ought to come from white countries “like from Norway” and not, as he says, from so -called black ‘sh-thole countries’

But, if Trump is so proud of his repugnant, racist philosophy, why lie? Quite obviously there was no need for President Trump to tell such a lie that can be so easily fact checked. The lie then was needed to help to further sell his racist bigotry by appealing to American white people who can be easily duped.

The South African Government and human rights groups have thoroughly debunked Trump’s irrational claims. South Africa’s Police Minister Senzo Mchunu reported that in 2024, there was 32 farm murders, with only one white farmer among the dead.

But there is an even bigger picture here, my friends. And that is the nerve of an American president using the term genocide against black South Africans who suffered years of American and European supported, apartheid violence and mass genocide.

AMERICA AND THE REAL WHITE GENOCIDE

Let us recall, the Soweto Massacre of June 16, 1976, when over 700 black South African students were brutally gunned down; by white South African police for protesting apartheid education policies.

Where was America’s moral outrage then?

If god king Trump wants to talk about white genocide, let us talk about American white genocide against black, native and Indigenous peoples of the world.

Mass genocide and extermination of Native Americans, including giving them smallpox blankets, was perhaps, one of the first acts of biological warfare in human history.

Four hundred years of slavery still cannot be erased from our memories especially given this white entitlement and perpetual racism in America today.

America’s genocidal crimes were not confined to its borders. In the last few decades, we also had:

• Philippine-American War: Hundreds of thousands killed under the banner of “benevolent assimilation.”

• Vietnam: Napalm and Agent Orange rained down on rice paddies, schoolyards and cities leaving millions dead or maimed.

• Indonesia (1965–66): US-backed purge – 500,000+ murdered.

• Guatemala: Mayan genocide under US-trained regimes.

• Middle East (2001–2024): Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen – 4.7 million dead according to, Brown University estimates.

That is genocide – funded, armed, and directed by America.

In the so-called modern America, police killings of black people is a grave public health, political and moral crisis. Between 2017 to 2024, over 8,000 black people and minorities were killed by US police, data from Statista reveals.

GAZA GENOCIDE IS LIVE-STREAMED

Then we have, quite sadly, real genocide taking place in Gaza that is live streamed for the world to see. And this is with America’s bloody involvement.

US-funded jets are turning apartment blocks into dust. Hospitals, bakeries, and UN shelters were bombed with impunity. And the god king Trump and other American political leaders remain racist enablers – with full impunity.

America has spent US$22.76 billion helping Israel wage this horrible genocidal war.

Arwa Mahdawi, writing in The Guardian, puts it bluntly:

“The Gaza extermination isn’t just Netanyahu’s genocide. It’s the Biden-Harris genocide. The Trump-Vance genocide. The Keir Starmer and David Lammy genocide.”

The sad summary of this is that, as of May 2025, over 62,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel’s Zionist regime with America and European war planes, weapons, and bombs.

Another 45,000 women, children and young baby girls and preemies are dead. There are 121,950 wounded – many of them children while, more alarmingly, thousands more are crushed beneath rubble, unnamed and unmourned.

MASS STARVATION AND SOCIAL GENOCIDE

In Zionist Israel, military and political leaders admit that they are using mass starvation as a weapon of mass destruction to drive Palestinians from Gaza.

Quite alarmingly, American poor people also face mass starvation. According to the US Centre for Disease Control, in 2020 over 20,500 people starved to death.

People starving to death in America is tied to the rising levels of poverty and homelessness. Over one million people being homeless living on the streets and being forced to dumpster-dive for survival.

This situation is going to get worse. President Trumps’s, 2025 ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ – budget, was just passed by the US House of Representative.

The new budget increases military spending by US$2 trillion, while giving tax cuts to billionaires. Severe cuts to food support programmes and healthcare for over 25 million Americans are part of Trump’s plan to further enrich himself and his billionaire friends even as poor people suffer and perhaps die from hunger.

This is truly a national disaster from America. First you had the tariff wars which is raising prices on basic food and cost of living. Now we have more pain and suffering being imposed on American people cut off from food stamps, Medicare and Medicaid.

The real genocide then, is not so-called, genocide in South Africa. It is revealed in the smoking ruins of Gaza; silent graveyards of Iraq and Afghanistan; black people killed by police; in the overflowing American prisons and the hunger, pain and suffering that led to 20,500 Americans starving to death in 2022.

That is the bitta truth.
