The Baylor football community is mourning the loss of Alex Foster, an 18-year-old defensive lineman, who was fatally shot early Wednesday morning(May 29) in his hometown of Greenville, Mississippi.
The Washington County Coroner’s Office confirmed Foster died from multiple gunshot wounds shortly after arriving at Delta Health Center.
Police responded to a report of gunfire at approximately 12:11 am on May 29, finding Foster wounded inside a vehicle. Despite emergency efforts, he passed away less than an hour later. The Greenville Police Department is actively investigating the shooting, though no suspects have yet been identified.
