Beaumont — A Beaumont paramedic who treats accident victims and saves lives is on the receiving end of a community outreach, drawing together first responders from across the city.
Beaumont EMS, Fire, and Police, coming together Friday night to escort Tiffany Woodland home after her release from CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital.
She was injured in a crash Monday. Doctors treated her for multiple fractures and other injuries.
First responders left St. Elizabeth in a convoy of support for Tiffany's ride home.
Her family of first responders made sure she knows just how much they care.
The City of Beaumont posted about her release with a statement from Tiffany.
“I have been deeply moved by the outpouring of support that I have received to this point," said Woodland. "It is extremely heartwarming to know that there are so many in my corner. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
She'll remain out of work for up to three months after a horrific-looking accident Monday, when police say a driver failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of Fannett and Sarah Street, crashing into the ambulance.
Tiffany was in the back. The box, as it's called, flipped onto the side.
Two other paramedics were treated and released, but Tiffany's injuries were more serious.
A GoFundMe account is set up to help with her recovery.
