Chilling new police photos show 'deal-ready bags' and wads of cash taken off the streets

One person has been arrested and is spending Sunday in police custody after discovery in Stechford

A huge haul of drugs and cash was seized by police in Birmingham this weekend, officers revealed.

In chilling new photos, large wads of £20 and £10 notes could be seen wrapped in red elastic bands.


Several "deal-ready" bags could also be seen, alongside uncut drugs. These were a few of the illicit items seized from a suspect in Stechford on Saturday night, May 31.

Police say the drugs were "taken off the streets", while one person was arrested in connection with the offence.

They remained in custody on Sunday, June 1. Sharing the photos to X, formerly Twitter, Birmingham Priority Crime Team wrote: "Priority Crime Team Stechford:

"Fantastic result for the team Sniffing out a huge haul of Class A Drugs & Cash last night in Stechford.

"Birmingham Hundreds of deal-ready bags & uncut drugs were taken off the streets with one person in custody answering for it. #ProActivePolicing."

There are several signs to look out for that may indicate someone is involved in county lines drug dealing:

  • Repeatedly going missing from school or home and being found in other areas
  • Having money, new clothes or electronic devices and they can't explain how they paid for them
  • Getting high numbers of texts or phone calls, being secretive about who they're speaking to
  • Decline in school or work performance
  • Significant changes in emotional or physical well-being
