Police continue search for driver who reportedly fled fatal crash

TOWN OF CANTON, New York (WWNY) - New York State Police are still searching for a man involved in a fatal motorcycle crash in the town of Canton earlier this week.
The crash happened Tuesday night on Stiles Road.
Police say the motorcycle and truck hit head-on as the motorcycle attempted to pass another vehicle.
James Mclean, 41, of Rensselaer Falls, died from his injuries.
Police say the truck driver, Herbert Planty, 44, fled into the woods.
State police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call (315) 379-0012.
