N.H. man facing charges after leading police on chase, officials say
LINCOLN, Maine (WABI) - A New Hampshire man is facing charges after police say he led them on a chase in Lincoln Sunday.
According to the Lincoln Police Department, 24-year-old Nathan Fortier was arrested after multiple reports of a truck driving recklessly around the White Point Estates Road.
Police say callers reported damage to private property and possible theft.
An officer found the truck, but the driver failed to stop.
They say the officer pursued the vehicle through local ATV trails near I-95.
The truck was later found abandoned along with other items recovered near the scene.
Police say Fortier was eventually found on foot and arrested.
Fortier is charged with eluding an officer, operating without a license, and theft by unauthorized taking.
They say Fortier was on parole and the truck was stolen in New Hampshire.
Authorites say additional charges are expected.
