LEAF VALLEY TOWNSHIP — A Miltona man was airlifted to a hospital after he was injured in a one-vehicle rollover near Leaf Valley Monday.
At about 5:40 p.m., the Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of the crash that happened on County Road 14 near the intersection with Buck Ridge Road NW in Leaf Valley Township.
Deputies determined that Reilly David McCormick, 19, was driving east in a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck towing an empty triple-axle PJ car hauler tilt flatbed trailer.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the truck left the road, entered the shoulder and continued into the southbound ditch where it struck a field approach.
McCormick, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, suffered injuries and was transported by LifeLink III helicopter for medical treatment.
At this time, alcohol or drug impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
Responding agencies included the sheriff's office, Leaf Valley First Responders and Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol, North Memorial Ambulance, Parkers Prairie Ambulance and Life Link III.
The incident remains under investigation.
