Update 1:30 p.m.: SPD says officers responded around 11:25 p.m. to reports of a cutting at a home on the 300 block of Tibet Ave.
When they arrived, a juvenile sibling of the victim told police that a 17-year-old boy in the household had been stabbed. EMS transported the victim to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment, where he died from his injury.
The sibling was detained on the scene. After an initial investigation, he was charged with murder and transported to Chatham County’s Regional Youth Detention Center.
