Peru: Public Ministry secures deportation of woman tied to contract killing network

The Public Ministry-Attorney General's Office secured the deportation from the United States of Mishelle Ortiz, who is under investigation in her role as cashier for the criminal organization 'Los Killers de Ventanilla' and partner of Gianfranco Torres, alias 'Loco Gianfranco' (Crazy Gianfranco).

The latter is the ringleader of said criminal network involved in contract killings and extortion in civil construction projects in Ventanilla district, Callao region.

Via social media on Wednesday night, the institution explained that the Public Ministry's International Judicial Cooperation and Extraditions Unit, together with the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime of Northwest Lima (Team 3), succeeded in having the Philadelphia Office of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement carry out the deportation of the citizen. Ortiz is the subject of a lengthy investigation.

"She will arrive in Peru on Thursday, June 12, at 3:30 p.m., after fleeing to the United States in March 2024, following the murder of a police agent at a restaurant in (Lima’s) San Miguel (district)," the post stated.
