HAGERSTOWN, Md. (7News) — A police officer is recovering after being shot during an incident involving a suspect in Hagerstown, Maryland.
This all started around 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, when officers responded to a domestic-related call at the 700 block of Forrest Drive, according to the Hagerstown Office Police Department.
As the call was happening, the male suspect shot at one of the officers, hitting him once in the arm.
The officer was rushed to the hospital, underwent surgery and is now recovering.

Police said the suspect is still barricaded inside the home and they know he is armed.
No other people are inside the home, police said.
The police department said they have dedicated all available resources to the situation and are using extreme caution.
