City of Bowling Green continues sinkhole repairs

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Crews with Bowling Green’s Public Works Department are finishing up repairs on a 15-foot-deep sinkhole near the roundabout on Southwest Parkway, just off Russellville Road.

City geologist, Nick Lawhon, says this sinkhole is one of many that formed after heavy April rains. With several more still needing attention, city workers and contractors with Scott & Ritter are facing a busy few months ahead.

Lawhon says this particular repair is expected to be completed by the end of the day Friday.
