Wyoming County woman charged with assaulting child

Perry, N.Y. — A Wyoming County woman is in custody after being accused of assaulting a child.

Haylee Tucker, 23, of Perry, has been charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said Tucker struck a 4-year-old child in the face, causing injury, in the parking lot of a business in the village.

The incident was captured on surveillance camera while Tucker was caring for her partner’s child, according to police.

Tucker was taken to the Wyoming County Jail and is due July 8 in Perry Village Court.
