The American suspected killer of an American mother and her six-month-old daughter in Rome's Villa Pamphili park last weekend has been arrested on the island of Skiathos in Greece, the Tg1 news channel reported Friday.
He was named as Rexal Ford, 46.
Police said he had a criminal record in the States.
The mother and daughter had been sleeping rough in the park, a popular jogging location in the Italian capital, for some time.
They were found dead on Saturday afternoon.
Police said they had tracked down the man thanks to testimony from a witness who saw the couple arguing and asked the police to intervene, Tg1 said.
The man is said to "have Latino features" and was identified thanks to a CCTV frame showing him with the little girl in his arms wearing a pink top that was later found in a rubbish bin.
The woman has not yet been identified, police said.
