CARROLL COUNTY, Ark. (KY3) -An Aurora, Mo., woman is facing additional charges, including murder, in Arkansas Thursday after being sentenced for murder in Missouri Tuesday.

Taylor Santiago is now facing charges in Arkansas for murder, attempted murder, burglary, battery, and endangering the welfare of a child.

This comes after a Missouri judge sentenced Santiago, who pleaded guilty to the death of her ex-husband, on Tuesday. For this, Santiago will serve a life plus 41-year prison sentence.

Police said Santiago shot and killed her ex-husband, Troy Huffman, at an apartment complex in Aurora in January 2025. The two shared a son, and investigators said he was present during the shooting. Investigators accused Santiago of driving to Carroll County and shooting two other people. One of those victims was the father of another one of her children. The Arkansas man suffered critical injuries, and his partner, who was also in the residence, died from her injuries.

Investigators said Santiago returned to Aurora and turned herself in at the police department. Aurora Police Chief Wes Coatney said he believed the motive was regarding custody issues between Santiago and the fathers of her children.
