A 64-year old Xaghra man was grievously injured on Friday evening after his motorbike crashed in Xewkija, Gozo.

Police said that the incident happened at around 10pm on Triq Sant’ Elizabetta. From initial Police investigations it was found that the man was riding his motorbike when he collided with a road barrier.

A medical team provided first assistance at the scene before before he was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified as having sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
