Pitt County Emergency Management warns of blasts this week near US-264/HWY 30
PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - There is a production event scheduled east of Pactolus for Monday through Wednesday, according to Pitt County Emergency Management.
They say there will be fireworks and blasts during the evening hours near the US-264 and Highway 30 intersection.
While PCEM doesn’t clarify what production is taking place, WITN reported last week on Mr. Beast’s game show happening in the same area.
Weather permitting, the anticipated times are 9:00 p.m. through 12:00 a.m., but due to the nature of the event, it may run later, according to PCEM.
They say residents may hear loud blasting sounds and see fireworks or smoke, but there is no threat to the public.
The Pitt County Fire Marshal will be onsite for the production with N.C. licensed pyrotechnicians.
