EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police said the 32-year-old man shot by officers during a family violence call was armed with knives and not following officer's orders.
According to the El Paso Police Department, the 32-year-old man who was shot by police Saturday evening had a knife in each hand and confronted officers and refused to follow orders.
The officer involved shooting happened at 9500 block of North Loop in El Paso's Lower Valley, after authorities received an emergency call regarding "family violence."

EPPD said an officer who has been with the department for eight months shot the suspect.
First responders treated the 32-year-old man before he was rushed to the hospital.
The responding officers did not report suffering any injuries.
Police have not charged the 32-year-old man as they are waiting for him to be released from the hospital.
Per officer-involved shooting protocol, Crimes Against Persons is investigating, with the help of the Internal Affairs Shooting Review Team and The Texas Rangers.
