The Taney County Coroner’s Office says the motorcyclist was 19-year-old Erich Craig of Omaha, AR.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states Craig was driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle two miles north of Ridgedale when a 2020 Jeep Cherokee in front of the cyclist was slowing to stop for another vehicle.
Investigators say the motorcycle struck the Cherokee, whereupon Craig lost control and the motorcycle overturned into the path of a 2024 Mazda CX30 which struck Craig.
A TCAD paramedic pronounced Craig dead at the scene around 2:16 p.m. He was taken by the Taney County Coroner’s office to Cremations of the Ozarks.
The drivers of the other vehicles suffered minor and moderate injuries from the accident.
MSHP Troop D says the death is the 51st traffic-related death for their troop in 2025.
