Police investigating overnight shooting in Moorhead

MOOREHAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) - An investigation is underway after a shooting in Moorhead Sunday night.

The Moorhead Police Department says they were called to the 700 Block of 15 Street N around 11:02 p.m. for a report of multiple gunshots that were heard in the area. Officers say when they arrived multiple witnesses were on scene and spent cartridge’s were found.

Moorhead PD says officers later responded to a local hospital for a report of a man with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police say they believe the suspect and victim knew each other and there is no known threat to the public.

Police say the case remains active and no arrests have been made at this time. The gun has also not been recovered by law enforcement.
